General Business News
The past seven days saw most coins chop hard with two decisions looming over risk assets, both landing this week. The first is a Senate vote on the clarity act that could unlock the regulatory certainty institutions have been waiting on, the second a potential Fed rate hike that would tighten money and cut appetite for risk. BTC swung violently between $76.5k and $80k, pushing above $79k twice and handing the whole move back within mere hours each time, sitting -2.1% as of writing. ETH was the only coin among the top ten to hold its ground, while HYPE and XRP shed more than -8%. The launchpad hierarchy kept rearranging itself, with StonkFun flipping Robinhood's Pons in daily revenue on Thursday, five weeks after launching and a month after Pons had taken the crown off PUMP. Finally, CoinEx announced closing its doors operations after nine years, joining BitMart and BitMEX among the venues winding down in 2026.
SideShift ended the week with a gross volume that jumped +43.8% to $10.36m, averaging $1.48m a day for another top five performance this year. The Liquid network confidently sat behind the rise in both sums that make up our total volume, driving user shifting up to $8.05m (+30.1%) and more than doubling liquidity rebalancing to $2.32m (+126.7%). USDT (Liquid) claimed its place in all five of the week's top user shift pairs, led by L-USDT/USDT(ERC-20) with $701k. Four of these top five pairs were flowing out of the Liquid network and combined for $2.14m, with only one pair standing opposed and moving $329k the other way. That carried the Liquid network as a whole to $5.09m, a 2026 record ahead of February's $4.78m and roughly 4x a normal week.

Four straight weeks above 9,000 shifts is something SideShift has managed only five times in its history, and the 10,803 logged last week (+10.3%) extended the current run to exactly that, its longest stretch since June 2025. The sub-$100 band set a yearly best at 6,399 shifts (+15.4%) and made up 59.2% of all shifts, matching the year's average share almost exactly. Growth reached every band regardless, with shifts above $1,000 climbing to a count of 1,213 (+16.0%).

The top of the site grew fastest of all, where shifts above $10k accounted for 57.4% of gross volume, their largest cut of Q3 and up from 41.4% a week earlier, on $5.95m across 203 shifts (+79.6%). Those 203 made up just 1.9% of the week's traffic, slightly higher than the weekly average proportion and an indication that the shift values composing the sum grew. Nearly 60% of them cleared $20k, and that $20k group carried $4.83m of the $5.95m on its own. At the very top, twenty five shifts exceeded $50k for $1.92m.

USDT on Liquid posted $4.88m (+326.9%), climbing from fourth to claim the top spot. That was its best week of the 360 since SideShift listed the coin in October 2019, beating the previous high from early June by ~73%. The three USDT variants on the receiving end of those pairs had strong numbers of their own, with USDT on Ethereum up +118.8% to $2.56m and running close to a 1:2 split between user deposits and settlements, settlements climbing +154.4% to $1.29m. USDT on Tron added +44.7% to $2.27m for a seventh straight week past a million, while USDT on BSC nearly doubled to $1.01m on an all-time count record of 1,665 shifts. USDT0 on Polygon rose +148.0% to $631k.
BTC grew +29.9% to $2.68m and still slipped to second, matching USDT (Tron)'s seven week run above a million. Its user shifts were mostly a wash, $1.05m deposited against $1.10m settled, after deposits had run at nearly twice settlements a week earlier. SOL managed a fourth consecutive $1m week at $1.08m (+7.0%). ETH slid to $993k (-10.4%) on a second straight decline since holding the crown, leaving it at just 8% of its January 2025 peak and the furthest from its own high of anything in the top twelve. ETH on Robinhood lost -27.3% to $497k, yet its shift count rose again to 1,537, up from 175 in its opening week nine weeks ago.

Alternate networks to ETH took 62.5% of volume measured across themselves and the Ethereum network, down from 66.6% a week earlier. The Ethereum network is what pulled that share down, growing +45.4% to $4.58m for its best week since August, more than double the pace of the group's +21.5% to $7.65m. The Tron network stayed on top at $2.45m (+35.2%) and has now led the group in 32 of 37 weeks this year, if by a slimmer margin than its usual 65% over Solana, which held second at $1.75m (+1.5%). Tron got there on just 1,063 shifts at a $2,305 average ticket, by far the largest of the group, while Solana set a 2026 count high of 3,814 shifts with its own average down at $463. BSC ranked third on $1.37m (+49.0%) and its own 2026 count high, with USDT on BSC into ETH on Robinhood the busiest pair on the chain. The Polygon network reached $900k (+67.5%) for its best week since February, while Robinhood slipped -20.0% to $569k in the same week it handled more shifts than ever before. Base meanwhile added +19.5% to $339k, with nothing across the group on a growth run longer than two weeks.

Affiliate News
Top affiliate volume reached $3.68m (+40.4%) while holding its share of the total at 35.5%. First place changed hands, with the leader that had topped five of the last six weeks slipping -4.8% to $1.06m, but still its second consecutive week past a million and enough for a confident second. The affiliate that seized the top spot posted $1.74m (+338.3%), its best ever week on SideShift, and surpassing its previous record volume by nearly 80%. Friday alone generated $1.07m, and over two dozen shifts fell into our biggest shift bracket, lifting its average shift to $3,740 against the $960 the site averaged. Third went to an partner that saw its volume grow from $14k to $231k, with its 903 shift count more than any affiliate bar the leader.

That’s all for now - thanks for reading and happy shifting.
